Google has upgraded its BlackBerry app to include a much cleaner interface, search suggestion and a host of other features including Gmail integration, Maps, Calendar syncing, Docs, Feed Reader, Picasa and News. However, many of these included apps are Web-based and result in little more than taking you to another page.

The search functionality is good. Search suggest is a welcome addition to the mobile screen, as is the "history" tab for previous searches. Initially, it takes a bit of time for search suggest. Start typing, then wait. Suggestions will pop up, which you can then scroll down to and navigate to the right for further defined suggestions. On consequent searches of similar terms, the wait is much shorter. You can download the app by pointing your mobile browser to http://m.google.com.
